Nathan is Krystyl's keeper from her first Basenji litter.  At his very first show he was awarded Winners Dog & Best of Winners! At his second show he was Winners Dog and Best of Winners from the Bred By class for a 3 point major and at his third show he was Winners Dog for 2 more points - all from the Bred By class handled by Krystyl Lyons.  If Basenjis are indeed barkless, someone needs to tell Nathan that.  In addition to all his other interesting noises, we have heard him actually bark! 

Nathan went missing from our back yard on August 7, 2010.  We thought at first that he might have jumped the fence though he had never done it before.  After having absolutely no sightings and talking to Animal Control who said that many dogs in the area had gone missing from their yards around the same time that Nathan went missing, we now believe that someone took him from the yard.  I still have hope that I will be reunited with Nathan one day.  Having talked to an Animal Communicator, she informed me that he was in a new home with someone else and that he was enjoying himself, I hope this is true.  Since he went missing there were no signs of him at all, alive or deceased, so I have hope that he is in a nice warm house with food and water and lots of love.  Since he went missing we have pad locked our gates, and restrung new hot wire along the fence as well as adding an additional line of hot wire above the fence so that no one can jump it without hitting the wire (people included)
